Well. The BUYcotters will now have tons of useless seamless underwear and wine that they wouldn't have otherwise bought. Hope they enjoy! :)

Meanwhile, the British government has just asked that Israeli products produced in settlements be more clearly labeled: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/juliankossoff/100019576/labels-on-west-bank-products-food-for-thought-for-israel/.

Remember. Britain is one of Israel's closest allies alongside the USA, Canada and Australia (and the Federated States of Micronesia). But outside these bastions of white-settler privilege (or aid dependent islands), the fact is that there is little support for Israeli apartheid policies.

Israel should be treated by its Anglo-American allies the way every regime that violates human rights is treated, from Colombia, to Honduras, to Rwanda, to Sudan, to Iran, etc. The only way Israel has been 'singled out' to date is that despite numerous UN resolutions against it, it is the only country that has never faced sanctions for violating international law.

Here's hoping to a singular, democratic state in Israel/Palestine - the hope of all progressive Jews and Palestinians!
